Thai Massage

The technique used by Thai massage practitioners is very different from what you may be accustomed to.
Unlike Swedish or aromatherapy massage techniques, in which a person passively lies on a bed, the client lies on a futon on the floor and participates more actively in the massage. You will remain fully clothed during the treatment (It is best to wear light comfortable clothing, which allows free movement)

As well as being deeply relaxing, Thai massage has many health benefits, lowering stress, relieving muscular tension and can also increase energy levels.

The treatment involves applying pressure to specific energy channels or Sen lines.

During the treatment a therapist will use thumbs, hands, elbows knees and feet to apply pressure and to guide your body through a series of deep stretching movements. This helps the circulation of both blood, lymph and the movement of chi (energy)

The yoga-like stretches increase blood circulation, which fills the body’s tissues with oxygen. This helps promote cell growth and heart health.
